Fughu

Rock Argentino enamora a Loreley

Deutsche Argentinien Post

Loreley fall in love with Argentine Rock Band

So far, only one South American band has played at the Night Of The Prog Festival at Loreley, Germany. We’re talking about the most important progressive rock festival in the entire world. That band is Argentinian and its name is Fughu.

At the city of Loreley, in a heavenly landscape, with the Rhine River at its feet, stands the stage that saw figures such as Dream Theater, Marillion, Jethro Tull, David Bowie and Genesis in many decades of existence.

Fughu performed on Saturday, second of the three days that the festival lasted. Steve Hackett (one of Genesis’ founding members) would be the final act. But before that, Fughu captivated the audience from the very beginning of their show, and even though they were on stage for 1:15hs, time flew. The band played songs of all their four albums, with special focus on their last record “Lost Connection”. The visual impact, costume changes and the highly energetic attitude of the argentines was the key to provoke the enthusiasm of the attendance, that welcomed Fughu with opened arms and depleted all their merchandising even before their set was finished.

The pinnacle of the concert happened when Santiago Burgi (former Fughu singer, currently residing in Germany) joined Favaro on stage for a song, setting themselves, the band and the crowd on fire!

A good proof of appreciation towards Fughu was the long line of people that went for an autograph or a picture from these South American musicians. They were even asked to sign a chair!

With four studio albums in their pockets, having played with heavy weights like Dream Theater, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Ritchie Kotzen, Lea Garrè and (very soon) Sons Of Apollo; having toured Europe un 2015 and 2022 and Mexico in 2019, Fughu stands as a band with international projection. From Argentina, to the whole world.
